Emmerdale fans brand storyline 'stupid and tired' as Noah and Chloe's escape fails

Emmerdale fans have been baffled by what they've dubbed a 'stupid' storyline after Noah and Chloe's attempt to flee the village were foiled in just a few minutes.

Yesterday viewers found out that Noah and Chloe planned on leaving the Yorkshire Dales in order to pursue their relationship without anyone getting in the way

This week, Mack figured out that Noah was seeing Chloe and tried to offer him some advice on relationships which ended badly for him after Charity found out and broke up with him after claiming he “made the situation worse".

So with Noah and Chloe's relationship causing all kinds of troubles, the pair - who viewers believe have only been dating a few weeks - decided tonight was the night they would escape.

But of course, things quickly ended in terms of their escape and it appeared viewers weren't fans of the storyline.

@Beech15Beech wrote: "Just ridiculous! Do you think they have a competition @emmerdale to see who can come up with the stupidest storyline?! I can see no other reason!"

Another social media user, @Only4Furuba commented: "How many times is Emmerdale going to do the "Noah thinks Charity has ruined his life, Charity has sad girl hours about it until Noah comes round" plotline. I'm so tired."

Others were simply baffled as @fluffyhairben wrote: "emmerdale need to start showing us things like why do chloe and noah even want to run away together when they have shared about 5 scenes together #Emmerdale "

It seems some viewers just aren't a fan of Noah full stop with @fulbut adding: "Noah is one miserable kid, he never smiles always moaning and blaming everyone else. Is it just me or is his character just awful"
