Emmerdale fans baffled by odd burning corn maze blunder after Meena strikes

Tonight's episode was day four of Emmerdale's 'death week' and it didn't disappoint.

It seems that serial killer Meena claimed Andrea as her latest victim as she cornered the wedding planner in the spooky Halloween maze.

As Andrea learnt too much of Meena's history - including seeing her try to drown Victoria Sugden.

In a desperate attempt to stop Meena from killing her, Andrea attempted to defend herself with a flare gun - accidentally setting fire to the entire maze.

It almost became the scene of multiple deaths as Priya, Meena and Andrea all almost succumbed to the smoke.

Yet it was only Andrea who failed to escape.

The move left fans baffled though as they all pointed out one clear mistake.

York Maze have revealed their involvement in creating the back drop central to all the drama in Emmerdale’s epic week of episodes (ITV)

Fans were quick to point out - it was a corn maze.

Not exactly impenetrable walls, keen watchers were flummoxed as to why she didn't simply hide as Meena chased her and then, as the fire threatened to claim her, to not simply push through and find her way out.

One wrote: "the fire in the maze. why would you not just run through the maze??? its not barbed wire."

Another added: "So stupid, a fire in a corn maze and everyone still insist on trying to follow the actual paths out. Anyone with a bit of wit, would have just headed through the corn till they got out.

A third added: "Just run in a straight line through the maze! It's not a brick wall!"
