Emmerdale fans couldn't believe what they were seeing as three potentially new couples emerged during the first trip of the week to the fictional village. Things turned saucy on-screen in the ITV soap Liam Cavanagh and Wendy Posner gave into temptation and shared a steamy kiss at the doctor's surgery.
Last week, Wendy, who is in a relationship with B&B owner Bob Hope, discovered her colleague's secret penchant for writing his very own murder mysteries. The GP started putting pen to paper following his marriage split from Leyla, submitting short stories to Murder Most Murky, a bi-annual murder mystery publication.
Wendy has since been helping him write his stories and on Monday night (May 22), she revealed she had big plans for their night at the murder mystery convention. However, Liam explained the event has now moved online and he didn't seem to be interested in attending the virtual do.

But wanting to celebrate his success at being nominated for a writing award, Wendy arrived at the surgery in her flapper costume before getting Liam to dress up in his own 1920s attire before the fizz started to flow. And after Liam's alter ego won the award, Wendy and Liam shared a kiss before things for more passionate between the pair.
Meanwhile, over at the B&B, Bernice opened up to Bob over a glass of wine after feeling the pressure at work. After Bob tells Bernice that he’s always considered her beautiful, the small moment between them was interrupted as Bob quickly offered a flustered Bernice a top-up of wine.
But as the wine kept flowing, Bernice moved in for the kiss. And while just seconds away from locking lips, Bob jumped off the sofa and awkwardly fled the situation. Meanwhile, fans also suspected a romance could be brewing between Mandy and Bear.
Flocking to social media, Emmerdale fans wondered what was happening in the village. @_Pixxalt tweeted: "Why is this episode so horny wtf is going on tonight #emmerdale," to which @Sehguh666 replied: "It’s insane." @VampLover27 commented: "What with Bear n Mandy, Bob n Bernice and the Doc n Wendy everyone’s getting it in the village #Emmerdale."
@mikepriestley13 quipped: "Tonight’s @emmerdale has turned into an episode of love island #Emmerdale." @GavinEvs added: "Omfg what have i actually just watched ?? #emmerdale."
Others, meanwhile, were particularly divided over Liam and Wendy. @beccaswxy said: "Yess loving them two. Go Wendy!!!" @loujoseph81 commented: "Yes…… these two are meant to be." @prettyniceperson shared: "I knew it!! And no, really not a fan of the tash but this union YES YES YES."
But @tracey.ll posted: "More flipping affairs. Can't we have just 1 month without any ffs." @itssoulsimplevirtual remarked: "Oh look…. another cheating storyline." @mrsryley_ angrily added: "Infidelity again!? Change the blinking writers. Every blooming week somebody is at it........ Everyone is cheating. Next we be seeing, Rodney as Casanova."
