Emmerdale fans all in agreement over 'truly evil' character after Luke's confession

Emmerdale viewers have been left "floored" after Luke revealed who attacked him.

Those watching the show tonight saw a conflicted Luke struggling to talk to mum Wendy about his sexuality.

In recent episodes he was exposed as catfishing Ethan, while he has also clashed with Ethan over his sexuality - after the newcomer revealed he'd dated one of his male friends.

Luke has denied liking men, saying it was a one off, and has since been eager to make things work with Victoria - but tonight saw him reveal all.

His brother Lee beat him up, after Luke told him about his sexuality.

Luke told Wendy his brother had attacked him and told him their father would be ashamed of them.

The next time Luke saw Lee, was later on the day of the attack. Lee was in hospital in intensive care.

Lee died in October 2019 after suffering an intracerebral haemorrhage following Robert hitting him over the head with a shovel.

Tonight Wendy questioned whether his fight with Luke could have had anything to do with his death.

Several viewers were left stunned by the revelation.

One wrote on Twitter : "Omg Lee was truly evil"

Another said: "Omg, I feel sorry for Luke now! His own bro beat him up for being in love with a man! He's obviously frightened of being gay! Victoria should still know"

A third wrote: "Well I wasn't expecting that confession from Luke! Maybe a storyline to bring Robert Sugden back at some point?"

A fourth wrote: "That has FLOORED me #omg"
