Emmerdale aired worrying scenes on New Year's Eve, as the hour-long episode saw Belle Dingle and nephew Kyle fighting for their lives.
Belle and her 10-year-old relative had been left abandoned in the middle of nowhere overnight, in freezing temperatures.
Ellis Chapman had joined them on a mini adventure at a forest for a camping trip, but he had to rush back to see former flame Priya Sharma.
Ellis left with Belle's car keys by accident, leaving Belle and Kyle stranded and unable to go home.
Belle broke into her car and got them into the back seat to try and stay warm, covered in their coats - while she soon called Ellis' mobile in the hope of being saved, only for him not to get the call.

On Friday, Ellis was concerned to find out neither Kyle or Belle were home, when he realised he had her keys.
Ellis and Kyle's dad Cain set off to the forest and found the car, with a lifeless Belle and Kyle inside.
Neither would respond to Cain's attempts to wake them as Ellis called for an ambulance, and as Cain checked for a pulse he seemed panicked.

At the hospital, it emerged both Belle and Kyle were suffering with severe hypothermia and were in a bad way.
That said, Belle was slowly coming round and regaining consciousness, but it was bad news for Kyle.
Cain and Kyle's mother Amy, as well as his stepmother Moira, all watched on in tears as the nurse confirmed he was in a critical condition.

With Kyle being younger and smaller than Belle, his condition was much worse and doctors weren't able to stabilise him as quickly.
The doctor informed the worried parents that Kyle's body was at risk of shutting down, and that rising his core temperature too fast could lead to serious complications.
As Cain and Amy asked if their son was going to be okay, the nurse could not confirm this and said the next few hours would be critical.
With Cain desperate for revenge on Ellis and back feuding with his dad Al, how far will he go?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
