Emmerdale viewers were left annoyed tonight as Paddy visited the Doctor about his mental struggles since becoming a father.
Paddy shouted at his baby daughter Eve earlier this week, telling her she was ruining his life.
Chas walked in just as he was screaming at the little baby, and the pair ended up having a heart to heart, with Paddy confessing how he was really feeling.
Tonight saw Paddy take the big step of visiting the doctor to talk about the next steps towards his recovery.
He visited Manpreet in the surgery and told her how he had been feeling, beating himself up because he wasn't the "perfect father."
But as Paddy continued to go into detail she said: "You need to stop beating yourself up about that.
"You just need to learn some coping mechanisms."
She then handed him a leaflet and told him to find some relaxation techniques.
And viewers at home thought the approach was unrealistic and that mental health would be treated more seriously by doctors today.
Paul Gibbons said: "Her bedside manner isn't very good is it."
Pollyk said: "What a helpful doctor (roll eyes emoji)"
Natasha Louise said: "Not sure any doctor would approach mental health quite like that. I hope."
And Elizabeth Scott said: "Can't believe Manpreet didn't offer Paddy counselling!"
