Emmerdale New Year spoilers have revealed danger for Moira Dingle as her drinking spirals out of control.
The character will collapse and be left unconscious in a ditch as her alcohol consumption takes its toll on her body.
As she continues to struggle in the fallout to her split from husband Cain Dingle, after her affair with his secret son Nate Robinson, the character turns to drink more and more despite concerns from loved ones.
But it will leave her in severe danger in the coming weeks, as she collapses alone in the cold.
It comes as she falls out with one of the few people left on her side.
She clashes with son Matty as he becomes tired of her behaviour towards him, and the drinking.
Despite Matty and nephew Pete urging her to stop, she won't listen leading to Matty moving out of the family home.
As scenes escalate, Matty considers forgiving his mother but just needs time to get past recent events.
But he soon senses his mother is hiding something, and he's right to be worried.
Viewers will see Moira is hiding a large container of herbicides, but what does she have planned?
Later on in the week, Pete and Nate inform Matty that someone has dumped herbicides on their farm.
Matty immediately fears Moira is behind it, but is he wrong?
Pete heads round to Moira's and finds her nursing a huge hangover on the couch leaving him infuriated.
He tells her to sort herself out, but instead she reaches for the brandy yet again.
As she heads out into the village she begins to feel unwell and it isn't long before she collapses in a ditch.
