Emmerdale confirms return for Andrea Tate amid explosive Joe Tate revenge theory

Emmerdale welcomes back Andrea Tate to the village next week, with spoilers teasing fresh drama to come.

Amid hopes for the return of former character Joe Tate, Andrea is back after her heartbreaking split from husband Jamie recently.

She blackmailed him into staying with her after finding out he was the driver in the hit-and-run, that almost killed Moira Dingle.

But that didn't work, and when he confessed his feelings for fling Belle Dingle she finally decided to leave.

Viewers were not sure if she would be back after her exit, but next week she heads back to the Dales and learns a bombshell or two.

Just before her arrival, Jamie delights Belle with the news he is pushing forward with his divorce plans.

She is worried Andrea will react badly to him rushing to end their marriage officially, but he doesn't care.

Andrea soon arrives home and is stunned to see the pair together already.

It isn't long before she realises Belle has moved in, taking her place, and that Belle also knows about the crash.

What's worse is Belle is Moira's sister-in-law, and she's completely betraying the family by standing by Jamie.

How will Andrea react to this, and might it lead to trouble?

Viewers will also have to wait and see how she takes the quick divorce news, amid her heartbreak.

She is a Tate after all, so might she want revenge?

Andrea actress Anna Nightingale recently shared her hopes for Joe Tate, Jamie's nephew, to return in a major twist.

She called for the comeback, hinting her character and Joe could take on the family together.

Viewers welcomed the idea, begging actor Ned Porteous to come back to the ITV soap.

Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV.
