Emmerdale has aired the heartbreaking fallout to Wednesday's shocking twist, that saw Moira Dingle run over and left for dead.
Jamie Tate was speeding when he drove into her, and left her laying by the side of the road in a hit-and-run.
He drove off not knowing who or what he had hit, and not going back to check if the person or animal was alive.
In Friday's visit to the ITV soap, Jamie confessed his crime to wife Andrea as she encouraged him to stay quiet.
We also saw what happened to Moira after the crash, as her ex-husband Cain Dingle was called to the hospital.
He feared the worst when he arrived to be told she was in a serious condition, with internal injuries.
She'd been found by the road, while no details were confirmed about when this was.
As Cain asked a doctor for his wife's condition, he revealed they were struggling to stabilise her and that she was critical.
Without doing so, they could not perform the life-saving surgery on her to tackle her huge injuries.
As well as the internal injuries, Moira suffered a broken rib and a broken arm in the crash, but it was the damage to her liver that was worrying doctors.
She had suffered a tear to the organ, and they needed to patch it up right away to give Moira the best chance of survival.
But as they were unable to keep her stable, this could not be done leaving her in a critical condition.
Moira was placed into an induced coma to take the pressure off of her body, as it battled serious trauma.
Doctors hoped this would keep her body calm and deal with the major trauma, so that she could be stabilised.
Until this happens she can't have the big operation she needs to recover.
