Emmerdale viewers will be treated to a flashback and a new mystery this Christmas, amid betrayal and a possible death twist.
Seemingly in the big Christmas Day episode, ITV has revealed that fans will see an unforgettable time in the village, as things "change forever".
Initially viewers will not know what has taken place, before a flashback confirms the events of the past few hours.
Emmerdale is keeping tight-lipped about the exact details, while more spoilers will be released closer to the festive episodes.
That said, they have teased that something mysterious takes place, and villagers awaken to find what appears to be a thin dusting of snow.

It could be something not-so sinister, and something cheerful, but we can't help but think something major will go down.
With lives set to be in danger, family feuds boiling over and even killer Meena Jutla tipped to strike again, it doesn't seem it will be a merry time for everyone this Christmas.
ITV unveiled their winter and early 2022 programming, and said of the soap: "The Emmerdale villagers awake to a thin dusting of what appears to be snow on Christmas morning but is all as it seems?

"Soon we flashback to the hours that preceded this flurry and understand what really happened.
"As the dust clears it is soon apparent this will be a Christmas the villagers will never forget, leaving some things changed forever."
The source added: "Lives are destroyed, families fall apart and betrayal runs deep this winter in Emmerdale.
"With the festive season fast approaching, can families find a way to heal their rifts?"

Some of the other spoilers detailed big scenes for Liv Flaherty, Liam Cavanagh and Jai Sharma amid drama in the village.
Dawn Taylor is tipped to be in danger, with her ex Billy Fletcher also at risk as he's revealed to be Meena's new man.
ITV confirmed that there could be others at risk though too, while remaining coy over who and why they might be in danger.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
