Emmerdale collapse horror for Dawn Taylor leading to 'devastating' diagnosis

Emmerdale airs upsetting news for Dawn Taylor in the coming episodes, as she suffers a shock collapse.

The character, who has faced turmoil in the past few months, suddenly falls unconscious in the village.

She's outside the café with her dad Will, who is talking to Liam Cavanagh - who happens to be a doctor.

As they and Harriet are looking away, she suddenly slumps into her knees feeling unwell.

It's then that she falls off her chair and hits the ground, leaving everyone alarmed.

When the character comes round, she is taken to hospital for tests.

It's then that she learns some potentially devastating news from the nurses.

Dawn is told that she’s developed pelvic inflammatory disease from a Chlamydia infection.

The damage done to her body could mean she can't carry anymore children, while this remains to be confirmed.

Dawn is stunned, as she confides in Will and stepmother Harriet.

Little does she know they're facing horror of their own, months on from Dawn killing DI Malone.

He tried to kill her and Harriet, leading to her shooting him multiple times and killing him - before they buried him in the graveyard, on top of another man's coffin.

But in upcoming scenes, the daughter of the deceased man reveals to Harriet that she is planning to have his body exhumed.

This would mean Malone is dug up in the process - but will Harriet and Will find a way to stop it happening?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
