Emmerdale cast tease 'huge fallout' to Nate and Cain bombshell after deadly stunt

Emmerdale will air big consequences for Nate Robinson, Cain Dingle and his wife Moira after an explosive week on the Dales.

A bombshell confirmed Nate was the secret son of Cain in dramatic scenes, that resulted in a boat explosion and Moira almost drowning.

Cain had wanted revenge on the farmhand after he rumbled his affair with his wife, only to be left reeling by the shock family secret.

Now, it's been revealed the characters involved will suffer serious consequences as they come to terms with recent events.

The aftermath of the secret and the affair, not to mention the deadly stunt, will be "huge" too over the coming weeks.

Emmerdale's Executive Producer Jane Hudson promised: "It's a very messy time for Cain, Moira and Nate, and the fallout will be huge."

Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain on the ITV soap, added: "Where will this go from here? Who knows, cos this is big stuff."

Meanwhile, Moira Dingle actress Natalie J Robb said: "There's obviously gonna be consequences to everyone's actions."

Viewers were left believing Nate was dead in the latest episode of the soap, after the boat he was on exploded.

Cain had taken him and Moira out on a lake on the boat, planning on killing the man he, until now, had no idea was his child.

Moira ended up going overboard and almost drowned, with Cain initially hesitating about saving her before diving in and getting her out.

But as they reached the surface, they realised the boat had burst into flames with Nate nowhere to be seen.

They eventually found the injured character, with Cain saving his son while hinting their feud was not over.

As for Cain and Moira, it's unclear whether the husband and wife could ever come back from the betrayal so fans will have to wait and see.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
