A new vicar will be joining Emmerdale along with his son - but the pair will quickly end up clashing with the Dingle family after a disturbing injustice.
Charles, played by Kevin Mathurin, and son Ethan, played by Emile John, will be a big hit with the majority of the village as they arrive in the Dales.
Vicar Charles will become a big source of support for Harriet amid her current struggle as she tries to deal with the guilt following Malone's death.
Both father and son will have a strong sense of justice, with the latter having worked hard to carve out a successful law career.
But the pair will end up having a run-in with the Dingles after Ethan is wrongly accused of crime.
The father and son will appear in the ITV soap in the next few months.
Following the casting, actor Kevin said: "I am over the moon to be joining the cast of Emmerdale.
"The show has always been a family favourite and my mum is a huge fan. The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I am really looking forward to Charles' storylines in the Village."
Emile added: "Being given the opportunity to play Ethan is an absolute dream come true.
"I feel a tremendous sense of responsibility in articulating his struggle with truth and authenticity and I can only hope that the audience fully engage with him in the same way I have."
