Emmerdale behind the scenes clip shows Paul attacking Liv before Jimmy crashes into barn

A new behind the scenes look at Emmerdale's explosive crash has revealed that it is Jimmy who crashes into the barn and leaves Paul and Liv fighting for their lives.

This Morning were given a sneak peak at the day on set when the cast and crew filmed the first proper stunt since the pandemic began.

The dramatic scenes were cleverly shot with green screens and ensured that everyone maintained social distancing, with stunt doubles even forming a bubble.

Jimmy King actor Nick Miles is seen with a rather nasty injury on his face as he confirmed that it's his character who will crash into the barn where Liv Flaherty and Paul Ashdale are.

Nick described the scenes as "very exciting and quite painstaking" as he revealed that Jimmy has been under a lot of stress recently with the custody battle.

Reece Dinsdale, who plays the role of Paul, also speaks about the dramatic scenes as he films some harsh moments with Isobel Steele, who plays Liv.

As Liv confronts Paul and confirms she knows everything about him, including the fact that he has been physically abusing her boyfriend Vinny, she tells Paul to get out of her way.

But as Liv attempts to leave the barn, Paul pushes her into a table - but it's unsure if she is seriously injured.

Actress Isobel did confirm that someone will die but refused to say if it was her.

"We do know that this week will end in tragedy for one character, but I cannot say who that is, so make sure you tune in. So that's all I can say, but who knows, it could even be Liz," she teased.
