Emmerdale and Coronation Street cancelled tonight - ITV schedule change

Emmerdale and Coronation Street fans will be disappointed to know that neither will air tonight.

Viewers will have to wait a little bit longer for their next instalment as the ITV soaps have lost their place in the schedule due to live international football.

On Monday night, England take on Montenegro in a qualifying match for Euro 2020.

The match will air between 7pm and 10pm, meaning all programmes such as Emmerdale and Corrie will be rescheduled.

Maya has been grooming Jacob (ITV)

However, on Tuesday, March 26 Emmerdale fans are in luck as the show will air for one hour compare to the usual 30 minutes.

Similarly, we'll be back on the Cobbles on Wednesday, March 27 to find out the latest fall-out from the factory collapse.

Corrie will air for 30 minutes between 7.30pm and 8pm and will return at 8.30pm for another 30 minute episode.

Fans will be keen to catch up with the soaps who are equally running dramatic storylines.

In Emmerdale, Maya continues to groom her boyfriend's son Jacob, who is only 16 years old and a pupil of hers.

And in Coronation Street, fans will be interested to see how Kate copes with the death of her fiancee Rana, who died in the Underworld collapse.
