Emmerdale confirmed a new twist amid Victoria Sugden’s harrowing rape ordeal on Friday, as she revealed she was pregnant with her rapist’s baby.
Two weeks on from the attack which took place after a night out, viewers saw the devastated sister of Robert Sugden finally confide in Moira Dingle this week.
Breaking down, she revealed she was assaulted and raped by a man named Lee whom she met at a club.
Friday’s episode saw Victoria bravely report her rape to the police, while speaking with the detective about what happened that night.

She was then left devastated to learn she would not be assessed with a psychical examination because the recommended time to gather evidence had passed.
Victoria was instead advised to take a pregnancy test and to book herself in for a STI test as soon as possible.
Moira remained with Victoria as she made the call for an appointment, with Moira herself then presenting her with a pregnancy test encouraging her to take it.
Later on in the episode, Victoria’s house was searched by police leaving her stepmother Diane and brother Robert alarmed.
With Moira by her side, a heartbroken Victoria decided to reveal her ordeal to her brother and Diane, as well as Robert’s husband Aaron Dingle.
It’s then that she dropped the news that after taking the test it confirmed she was pregnant with Lee’s baby.
Robert and Aaron watched on in shock, as Victoria fell apart in Moira’s arms over her ordeal and the news she was now pregnant.
It had been reported this week that the plot would escalate with a baby twist, while the soap had not confirmed this to be the case.
Victoria is set to struggle in the coming weeks, as she fears her rapist may not be caught after throwing away her clothes and bed sheets containing his DNA.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
