Emmerdale stars have welcomed their real life family members to help film scenes in the ITV soap.
The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has led to a big change in recording of the TV show to ensure actors and crew are safe.
Alex Lincoln, who plays Jamie Tate in Emmerdale , appeared on panel show Loose Women to discuss recording has changed in recent months. One of the notable differences is how intimate and confrontational scenes are filmed.

Alex, 27, said: “We have got a few bits coming up where we have got family members involved which was a great idea. That way you keep the scene moving and vibrant, as you’d want it, rather than having to work around restrictions.”
Family members have been used as they are part of the acting talents’ bubble. The actor, who has played the village bad boy for two years, also praised the Covid safety measures ITV brought in.
Viewers will currently see Alex’s character Jamie Tate involved in a love triangle with Gabby Thomas and Dawn Taylor.
Alex said: “I think a lot of viewers will find Jamie’s behaviour just awful - which it is. He is trying to manipulate Gabby into essentially not having a baby. It goes back and forth quite a lot.”
