Emmanuel Sanders says Broncos are ‘living in a world of suck’

Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was frank after Denver’s 27-16 loss to the Packers on Sunday afternoon.

“Times are rough around here,” Sanders said after the game, according to The Athletic’s Nicki Jhabvala. “Obviously the past three years — it’s been tough. Trying to get it right. We sit at 0-3, living in a world of suck.

“Football is still fun, but it’s not so much fun when you’re losing, especially when you prepare as hard as you can, you go out and have four targets, two catches and 10 yards. But there’s always next week, so I’m optimistic.”

Broncos coach Vic Fangio said Monday that Sanders was repeating what he said in the locker room after Sunday’s game.

Denver has now lost seven straight games dating back to last season. Sanders, 32, will earn $10.25 million this season before becoming a free agent in 2020. This year will likely be his last season with the Broncos.
