Phillip Lindsay became a superstar after gaining 1,278 yards from scrimmage and scoring 10 touchdowns in 2018. After Lindsay’s impressive season, he became the first undrafted rookie in NFL history to earn a Pro Bowl selection.
So if Lindsay followed a Broncos fan on Twitter, that fan would be pretty excited — understandably so. But what about accomplished wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, a Super Bowl champion?
Sanders acted just as excited as a fan when Lindsay followed him:
That was likely a bit of a tongue-in-cheek remark from Sanders, but Lindsay seems to be well-liked by his teammates.
The team’s official Twitter page chimed in, too.
And Lindsay seemed to enjoy Sanders’ tweet.
Sanders hauled in 71 receptions for 868 yards and four touchdowns last year. He also threw a touchdown pass and rushed for a touchdown before his season was cut short by a torn Achilles.
Sanders is confident he will be healthy for this year’s season opener.
