Emma Willis loves a bad boy and wants to dress as Black Widow

By Neil Shaw

Emma Willis has revealed she loves a bad boy, but also says her ideal scenario would involve her meeting Thor while she's dressed as Black Widow.

Emma made the revelations in the latest edition of the Walt Disney Travel Company’s Journey to the Magic podcast series hosted by Giovanna Fletcher.

Ahead of their five-day trek around the Scottish Highlands this week, Emma and Giovanna sat down to reminisce about their favourite memories together. During their first group skiing holiday, the pair became stranded on the side of a mountain as the slopes were due to close for the night - Giovanna admitted, “I’ve honestly never been so scared” as she worried they would be stuck overnight.. In a bid to get down, Emma revealed she took her skis off and walked down the mountain. Giovanna, who is not very experienced on skis, said she “resembles Olaf” as she was tumbling down a hill.

Throughout the episode, the pair discuss other memories they share – with the two running into each other during Giovanna and her husband, Tom Fletcher’s, honeymoon in Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Comparing how the two like to plan their Disney holidays, Emma admits that her family holidays usually end up in chaos, as she doesn’t like to plan in advance. While, long-time Disney fan, Giovanna Fletcher, admits that she always turns up to her Disney holidays, armed with a spreadsheet full of activities to avoid missing out on any key events while at the Disney parks.

Throughout the podcast, Emma and Giovanna can be heard describing how they juggle parenting and taking the time to switch off on holidays and what makes their perfect Disney day out. When quizzed by Giovanna on which Disney character is her favourite, Emma opts for an unlikely villain over Frozen’s beloved Elsa. For Emma, Darth Vader takes the crown, further explaining, “oh, I love a bad boy!”.

Giovanna and Emma compare how different they are when planning for a trip one plans everything (Giovanna) and the other just lets things adjust themselves (Emma).

Giovanna: “Do you plan anything when you visit Disney or is it more of a relaxed approach?”

Emma: “You know this answer I love that you’re asking it to me to see if I lie. What you should say is now “Emma when you go to Disney you don’t really plan anything do you?” But again, I have been very lucky when I’ve been to Disney because you have been there and Tom has been many many times so when you’re there I feel like we don’t have to try as hard because you guys are the leaders of the pack.”

Giovanna: “I would have a spreadsheet…we’ve got a meal in this place so that means this day is a Magic Kingdom Day”.

The pair reminisce about how the first time Willis family was at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida they bumped into Giovanna and Tom during their honeymoon.

Emma: “That was the first time I ever went to Disney, and it was amazing it was one of those things where I was like this is so phenomenal I can’t believe how big it is, I can’t believe how much stuff is here, it caters for everybody. Even my parents, who were sixty, just absolutely loved it because it is such a brilliant memory the first time you go there.”

Emma discusses how her love for Disney has changed from her childhood to now as an adult.

Emma: “Well Disney is a big thing, isn’t it? I mean like there’s Disney theme parks, obviously there’s Disney movies. So, am I a fan of Disney as a whole? Absolutely. I’m a massive fan of theme parks so a Disney-themed theme park is just joyous”.

Emma: “I’d never been (to Disney) until I was a parent…Matt was a massive Disney fan growing up, so she watched all the movies and all the things I had never watched I kind of watched with her (Isabelle). So, when I went on holiday there, I was literally like THIS is the best place in the world.”

Emma’s Top Travel and Parenting Points from her Perfect Day at Disney.

Emma: “First, I will enter an hour of parenting hell where you have to put sunscreen on and swimsuit and clothes and pack a bag and brush teeth and then take them to breakfast. But when you get to breakfast everything gets better because they get Mickey Mouse pancakes.”

Emma: “I like to keep my kids happy and take them on various rides that they want to go on because they’re at Disney and they have very little patience. I would watch the parade on the first day to satisfy their craving for seeing certain people.”

Emma loves a good buffet…. One of Emma’s favourite places to dine from her perfect Disney day is the all you can eat character dining restaurant at Inventions over in Disneyland Paris.

Emma: “I’m going to be controversial possibly and say I prefer the buffet at the hotel in Paris over the one in Florida. So, the Disneyland Hotel (Paris) restaurant and buffet is next level, and it’s definitely not bad at the Grand Floridian, it’s very very good as well, but I just have wonderful memories of literally running down to dinner because I LOVE a good buffet.”

Emma: “First I would go to the Magic Kingdom you can’t go to Disney and not go there immediately because that’s kind of what we all know first and foremost Disney to be it’s the Magic Kingdom.”

Giovanna: “Before we leave the Magic Kingdom are you having any snacks, are you eating?”

Emma: “I mean I’m having a funnel cake every single day for lunch.”

Emma: “The first time I watched the fireworks was in (Disneyland) Paris I expected a bonfire night display that you get done in your local park but it’s very different to that… it’s MEGA. It’s one of those things that you don’t know where to look when it’s happening because there’s so much happening and it’s so clever the lights that they do on the castle and the stories that they tell as it’s happening. The fireworks are lovely but what is actually being projected onto that building it just takes you into another world again.”

Emma describes her absolute favourite thing to do whilst at a Disney Park

Giovanna: What is your favourite ever thing to do in a Disney Park?

Emma: I mean it’s a toss-up between Tower of Terror and a funnel cake. If I could eat a funnel cake on the Tower of Terror.

Giovanna: You would get off and you would have icing all over your face.

Emma: But how much fun would that be?

Giovanna: You would just be in a cloud of icing as the doors open.

Gi & Emma reveal how Emma, Gi and Matt all have a crush on a certain member of The Avengers, Thor

Emma: I am a massive Avengers fan - you know put me in a Black Widow outfit and I’ll be as happy as you like… Bring Thor in and I’ll be even happier as Larry. Bring Thor and I’ll even be happier,

Giovanna: Wouldn’t we all Emma, wouldn't we all.

Emma: My husband would be as well - his absolute man crush that is.
