Emma Willis admits she would take part in Strictly Come Dancing 'in a heartbeat'

Emma Willis has confessed that she would take part in Strictly Come Dancing "in a heartbeat".

The presenter of ITV's The Voice UK was also the face of Channel 4's reality gameshow The Circle before it was canned in May.

And now the 45-year-old has admitted that she would jump at the chance to do Strictly if her schedule allowed it.

Speaking to The Sun, Emma revealed: "If I had time, I would do it in a heartbeat. Like I absolutely love it.

"I've been asked in the past but it's always the time of year when we're filming The Voice and The Circle.

"The Circle is not happening this year, but let's hope The Voice is - otherwise I will be doing Strictly."

Emma, who is married to Busted star Matt Willis, will next appear on Cooking With The Stars.

The ITV culinary series has already completed filming and Emma hosts the show alongside comedian Tom Allen.

It is set to include star contestants such as Denise Van Outen, Johnny Vegas and Strictly's Shirley Ballas.

When Emma was asked if Shirley had tried to twist her arm her to take part on the dance contest she replied that she wouldn't need any convincing.

Also involved in the cooking contest are Catherine Tyldesley and Harry Judd.

And Emma warned that the McFly star's introduction on the show begins in a bloodbath and joked that the show's medics got more airtime than herself.

"Harry Judd cut himself within the first two minutes," she said. "The first chop he made he took the end of his little finger off.

"He did his cooking kind of racing towards the end, adrenalin pumping, plated everything up, kind of stood back and he just took it all in."

She blamed the cut on the fact the stars are using professional knives that they wouldn't have handled before.

She confessed that what Harry originally put down to sweat from the heat in the kitchen turned out to be his head covered in blood.

And Emma told how the show's medics were quick to appear with blue plasters and gloves to make sure there was “zero spillage” into the food.

The presenter also admitted that fronting the show had somewhat inspired her to put more effort in in the kitchen at home.

But she said that being a mum-of-three means that her and her husband barely get a chance to sit down to a romantic meal.
