Emma Thompson, Katy Perry among celebrities in attendance at King Charles’ coronation

King Charles officially took over with Saturday morning’s coronation, and it was an elaborate affair. Both the king’s sons — William and Harry — were in attendance for the ceremony, with his eldest joining him on the balcony at Buckingham Palace after the procession.

Westminster Abbey was filled to the brim with those watching the coronation, including foreign dignitaries, members of the royal family and celebrities.

Singers Lionel Richie and Katy Perry — who will be joining the iconic 90s British boy band Take That and a handful of other artists for the coronation concert — were in attendance, as were actresses Emma Thompson and Joanna Lumley.

While President Joe Biden couldn’t make the trip, First Lady Jill Biden and her granddaughter Finnegan made an appearance.
