Emma Raducanu dedicated her first win since the US Open to her father.
The 18-year-old had to dig deep to progress to the second round of the Transylvania Open, battling past Polona Hercog in three sets.
After losing the first set 4-6, the Briton overcame her opponent in a tight second set 7-5, before storming to victory in the final set, winning it 6-1.
Having lost her previous match at Indian Wells earlier this month, Raducanu was delighted to get another win under her belt and was pleased to do so in Romania, the birthplace of her father.
"This means a lot to play in my dad's country," she told the BBC. "It feels like a huge win.
"It is a shame there aren't fans here, but I hope they were watching and I just wanted to do them proud.
"I was on a losing streak so I am really pleased to have come through that. It's my first win, I knew that in my head, so I was battling really hard to get on the board."
The teen was under pressure throughout the first and second sets by Hercog, but she showed the toughness and poise that guided her to the US Open title in New York.

Raducanu will face Romanian world No.106 Ana Bogdan in the next round - with top seed Simona Halep a potential semi-final opponent on Saturday.
Following the gritty win, Raducanu addressed those fans who were unable to attend the tournament due to the rise of Covid-19 cases in Romania.
She said: “It feels like a huge win, it is my first WTA Tour win which makes me very happy.
“It was difficult for me but I feel to win my first WTA match does mean a lot because I was on a losing streak, so I got my first one. I am really pleased to have come through that today.”
He added: “It definitely means a lot, it’s my first win, I knew that in my head so I was battling really hard to get on the board. To play in Romania, I had amazing support so they definitely helped me.
“It is a shame there aren’t fans here but I hope they were watching and I just wanted to do them proud.”
