Emma Raducanu US Open final: When is the final and how to watch it live for free?

British teenager Emma Raducanu shot to fame earlier this year after her memorable Wimbledon 2021 run and is now taking America by storm, having just reached the US Open final.

The 18-year-old rising star has breezed through all nine of her qualifying and main-draw matches without dropping a single set, in what is only her second-ever appearance at a Grand Slam tournament.

Raducanu is the first British woman to appear in a major singles final in 44 years, as well as the first to reach a US Open final in 53 years.

The teen was ranked 336th in the world before reaching the last-16 of Wimbledon 2021 earlier this summer, but she is expected to enter the top 30 following her confident run in the US tennis tournament.

But when is the final of the US Open and who will Raducanu be playing? Here’s everything you need to know.

When is Emma Raducanu in the US Open final?

The women’s singles US Open final is set to start tomorrow, Saturday, September 11, at 9pm UK time (4pm in New York).

As with previous matches, the final will be played at the Arthur Ashe Stadium at Flushing Meadows.

Who is Emma Raducanu playing in the US Open final?

Raducanu has had a smooth journey to the US Open final, with a convincing 6-0, 6-1 win against Sara Sorribes Tormo in the third round, before defeating Shelby Rogers 6-2,6-1 to claim her place in the last-eight.

She then beat Belinda Bencic in the quarter-finals before her impressive straight-set semi-final win against Greek 17th seed Maria Sakkari in the early hours of this morning (UK time).

But Raducanu isn’t the only teenager taking the tennis world by storm, and the final round will see the young Brit face off against Canada’s Leylah Fernandez, the 19-year-old who knocked out world number two Aryana Salbalenka in her dramatic three-set semi-final.
