  • Anisimova expressed satisfaction with her performance, stating she aimed to be fearless and enjoy the match.
  • Elsewhere in the women's draw, top seed Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the last 16, as did Naomi Osaka, while fourth seed Coco Gauff retired due to injury.
  • In the men's competition, second seed Jannik Sinner secured a swift victory, and fourth seed Alexander Zverev won a tougher three-set match.
