Emma Raducanu pulls out of Wimbledon in last-minute decision

Emma Raducanu Wimbledon

British No 1 Emma Raducanu has withdrawn from Wimbledon on the eve of the tournament due to a stress fracture in her right leg.
Raducanu announced her withdrawal on Instagram, stating she had done everything possible to be ready but was medically advised to stop pushing through the injury.
Concerns about her fitness had grown after she cut short a practice session and was seen wearing an orthopaedic boot earlier in the week.
This marks another significant injury setback for Raducanu, who also missed Wimbledon in 2023 after undergoing multiple surgeries.
Her withdrawal is a major blow for the tournament and home fans, particularly after a promising start to her grass-court season.
