Emma McVey told she can't have more kids with Gaz Beadle until she has heart operation

Mum-of-two Emma McVey has been warned against having a third child with Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle until undergoing heart surgery after dramatic weight loss.

The reality star, 29, opened up about her health struggles which includes - a heart defect since birth and inflammatory condition colitis which causes extreme fatigue - as she admits she's bombarded with comments from fans asking how she's so slim who want to know her weight loss secrets.

But rather than something to aspire too, Emma is quick to point out that her size 4-6 figure is actually as a result of her illness and blames social media for 'body shaming her' for being too thin.

Emma, 29, admits she has lost weight but says comments on social media cause her further distress as she's 'thin shamed' and accused of being anorexic as cruel followers urge her to 'just eat a burger'.

She told Closer: "I feel like I've been reduced to a body and not a person."

"I used to have a bum and cheeks. Now I'm a bony size 4-6 and I'm straight up and down."

Emma, who lives near Leeds, with Gaz and their children, Chester, four, and Primrose two - lost a few pounds after her first pregnancy while breastfeeding and cut out dairy to manage food intolerance.

But a blood test showed she had three holes in her heart from childhood and was fitted with a heart monitor.

Updating her followers at the time, Emma wrote: 'Long story short, we've finally found out I have three large holes in my heart and damaged tissue which is causing my blood to pass through the wrong direction...

''The right side of my heart is now enlarged and weak, along with high blood pressure in my lungs.

She continued: 'This has all got a lot worse as they should of been closed when I was a child, unfortunately no one checked my heart even when I had seizures and diagnosed with epilepsy or fainted like it was a hobby.

''I definitely shouldn't of carried babies whilst they were there. They are baffled how I actually made it through birth with Primrose and if it wasn't a cesarean it could of been a very different story.

''Now I'm waiting for open heart surgery as the holes just can't be closed with device closure.''

And weeks before her and Gaz' wedding she suffered further health set back as she was struck with abdominal cramps and tried to keep the condition under wraps before finally admitting she needed treatment when she became too weak to stand.

She was diagnosed with colitis, an inflammatory bowel disease, and was advised to get things under control before having heart surgery.

She added: "I know that my heart will be sorted, which will give me more energy, and I hope to go into full remission with colitis and one day be more stable. Right now though, it's hard to saw a way out of it."

She says her crushing exhaustion often forces her to miss out as she's too tired to go out for an evening with Gary.

But for the pairs up coming anniversary she is determined to celebrate 'like the old days!"
