While she didn't get the big feat she hoped for, Emma-Leigh Heighway is now a world record holder and has raised $1200 for R U OK?
Ms Heighway was attempting to go the furthest distance on a treadmill in 48 hours for a woman. She had to pull the pin 16 hours in due to problems caused by Trigeminal Neuralgia - a chronic condition she suffers from - she managed to break the female 50 mile treadmill world record.
She completed 50 miles in 7 hours and 14 minutes, smashing the previous record of 8 hours 41 minutes.
"I went out a bit too hard," she said. "It's not really what I wanted, but I definitely found my limit."
But Ms Heighway said she learned a lot and will definitely attempt the feat again in the future.
She also aimed to raise $700 for R U OK? but has already notched up $1200 with donations still open at give.everydayhero.com/au/48-hour-treadmill-challenge
