Emirates is hiring Scottish cabin crew - here's how to apply

Emirates is on the look out for Scottish cabin crew with a recruitment day set to take place next month.

The Dubai-based airline is looking for male and female crew members to join the thousands of employees.

Cabin crew are offered an employment package which includes a variety of benefits such as a tax-free income, free high standard shared accommodation in Dubai, free transport to/from work, medical and dental cover as well as exclusive discounts on shopping and leisure activities in Dubai.

It also offers attractive concessional travel benefits for cabin crew as well as their families and friends, across the airline’s network spanning six continents.

There are several criteria that need to be filled in order to be considered.

These include that applicants are at least 21 years of age at the time of joining and have an arm reach of 212cm when standing on tiptoes.

The Scottish recruitment day is taking place in September in Glasgow at a venue still to be announced.

Anyone who is wishing to join Emirates is invited to fill in an online form, which you can find here , as well as go along on the day on September 29.

These are the current requirements for all cabin crew on Emirates:

1. At least 21 years of age at the time of joining

2. Arm reach of 212 cm while standing on tiptoes

3. Minimum height of 160 cm

4. High school graduate (Grade 12)

5. Fluency in English (written and spoken)

6. No visible tattoos while you’re in Emirates cabin crew uniform (cosmetic and bandage coverings aren’t allowed)

7. Can adapt to new people, new places and new situations

8. Physically fit for this demanding role with a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI)
