Emirates A380 'superjumbo' aborts landing at Glasgow Airport as planespotter films dramatic moment

This is the terrifying moment an Emirates plane aborted a landing at Glasgow Airport.

The Airbus A380 aircraft, the biggest passenger plane in the world, was several feet away from touching down in Scotland but pulled out at the last minute.

Holidaymakers and businessmen and women were on their way back from sun kissed Dubai when the pilot of the 575 tonne jet powered up the engines to take off into the skies.

Watching the giant of the skies touch down in Glasgow has become a hobby for many and that's exactly what Judith Currie was doing yesterday.

She was down in Paisley seeing the superjumbo touch down when she captured the footage on her camera.

Thankfully for those on the plane it turned round and touched down safely.
