Emir of Kuwait to Visit Iraq Wednesday

Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jaber al-Sabah is set to pay a visit to neighboring Iraq on Wednesday, announced a foreign ministry spokesman, according to the German news agency (dpa).

He will travel to Iraq at the head of a government delegation.

He will hold talks with President Barham Salih, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi and parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbusi on regional developments and bilateral relations.

Abdul Mahdi had paid a visit to Kuwait on May 23.
