Eminem's daughter Hailie Jade announces surprise engagement to beau Evan McClintock

Eminem's daughter Hailie Jade has announced her engagement to beau Evan McClintock.

The social media star, 27, shared the delightful news earlier this afternoon, posting several snaps from Evan's romantic proposal.

"Casual weekend recap," she told her 3million followers after sharing a carousel of pictures, one showing her now fiancé down on one knee as he popped the question.

The happy couple's actual engagement took place two days ago, on Saturday - but the post was seemingly delayed for celebrations.

Fans quickly took to the post's comment section to congratulate the pair, with some also making light of the moment - referencing Hailie's famous father.

"Looks like his knees were weak," joked one follower. While another wrote: "Wonder if he asked the goat."

A third penned: "Did slim approve haha." Another wrote below the picture: "Now to wait for Slim Shady's response."

"Imagine having to ask Em to marry his daughter," one user commented. While a pal seemed to write: "Couldn't be happier for the two of you."

Hailie and Evan have been linked since 2016 and early reports suggested that Eminem, also known as Marshall Mathers, was "very approving" of their coupling.

Evan is an executive at an investigation management company and is thought to be worth around $1-$5million.

They started dating after both attending Michigan State University, Hailie studied psychology, while Evan studied economics.

Hailie previously spoke about growing up as the child of a celebrity, describing it as "surreal."

Last year she reflected on her childhood on her podcast Just a Little Shady - which she hosts alongside her childhood best friend Brittany Edni.

In one episode, the pair - who were described as having been "like sisters" growing up - discuss memories from when they were both younger.

This included them recalling going on a tour bus together, which they admitted had felt like a "normal" thing at the time - though they now realise it was a "cool" experience.

Brittany remembered being asked to go on the bus by Hailie Jade, but said she hadn't known what one then - despite it already being "somewhat normal" to her school friend.

Hailie however commented: "That wasn't like the whole experience [though]. We were in a normal public school. We never thought anything was like different."

She further explained in the episode: "When something like that happened, I thought 'oh like everybody else does this too' not realising that that's like freaking weird."

Hailie Jade added: "Thinking back as an adult, I'm like 'wow that's so surreal' and those memories of me just thinking those were normal things, I'm like 'holy crap that was cool'."
