Rapper Eminem has celebrated 12 years of staying sober after his complicated history with drugs, which almost killed him.
The iconic musician, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, took to Instagram on Monday to present followers with a chip he received for his sobriety.
The famous star has openly talked about his addiction in the past, and revealed in his 2013 documentary How To Make Money Selling Drugs, he thought he was "gonna die".
Marshall, 47, posted the chip on Instagram, which read: "One day at a time. Unity Service Recovery."
He simply penned alongside the snap: "Clean dozen, in the books!"
And repeating his own song lyrics, he added: "I'm not afraid."

Eminem admitted that his addiction from 2002 to 2008 to prescription drugs such as Vicodin, Xanax and Valium became so overwhelming his organs began shutting down.
He suffered an accidental near-fatal methadone overdose in 2007, where doctors say he was "about two hours away from dying".
That's when the star made his decision to come clean, and hasn't looked back since.

In the film he reflected: "I remember walking around my house and thinking every single day, 'I'm gonna f***ing die.'
"I'm looking at my kids, and like, I need to be here for this."
The Love the Way You Lie hitmaker often used his 24-year-old daughter, Hailie Jade, as inspiration for his songs and suggests the love of his children kept him alive.
Eminem would also often sing about his drug addiction in his song lyrics.
