Emily Atack's shock at what she was offered for breakfast in Belfast to go with her porridge

TV star Emily Atack has declared her love for Belfast - and our particular take on breakfasts.

In a tweet to her 308,000 followers, the actress, runner up in last year's  I'm a Celebrity  , told how she was offered a little splash of whiskey in her porridge, reports Belfast Live.

She wrote: "Just been asked if I’d like some Irish whiskey on my porridge. I bloody love Belfast."

The actress also revealed she was in a cafe in the city when she got the surprise offer - although she didn't confirm whether she'd opted for a drop in her brekkie or not.

She didn't get hash browns though.

"In a cafe this time... no hash browns to be seen sadly."

Just a day earlier, the star, 29, had told of her love of the breakfast treat.

She tweeted: "If you head for the cereal at a hotel breakfast and don’t make a beeline for the hash browns, you’ve completely embarrassed yourself."Atack, who shot to fame with her role as Charlotte in The Inbetweeners is filming in Belfast for CBBC show Almost Never.

The comedy-drama follows boyband The Wonderland and rival girl group Girls Here First as they try to make it whilst juggling friends, family, school and relationships.
