PG Tips’ iconic knitted mascot is making a comeback - and this time, he’s got a wife.
The beloved monkey, now voiced by comedian Ivo Graham, stars alongside actress Emily Atack in the new ad campaign, At Home with Monkey.
Atack plays Alice, the monkey’s no-nonsense other half, in a spoof reality series that follows the fictional couple’s chaotic family life - including their tea-loving kids, Earl and Chai.
After meeting on a “celebrity dance competition” the unlikely couple hit it off away from the cameras.
Shot in a fly-on-the-wall style, the ad pokes fun at family life and even includes a cheeky nod to the viral Beckham documentary moment where David urges Victoria to “be honest.”
Atack, best known for her roles in The Inbetweeners and recent drama Rivals, said playing Mrs Monkey was a joy.
She shared; “It’s not often you get the opportunity to work with a national treasure.

“Filming alongside the knitted and quick-witted Monkey has been such a joy - I absolutely loved stepping into the role of Mrs. M, and living life one tea at a time as Monkey’s other half.
“It is both hilarious and heartwarming in equal measure!” she continued.
“Alice definitely keeps Monkey on his toes, and I think many couples will relate to their dynamic. I can’t wait to spill the tea on what this duo have been up to!”
The PG Tips monkey has been a staple of British advertising for over 20 years, gaining a cult following with fans collecting plush mascots and creating dedicated online fan groups.
PG Tips, which has been made in Manchester since the 1930s, remains one of the UK’s most loved tea brands, selling more than three billion tea bags a year.

Elle Barker, UK and Ireland marketing boss at parent company Lipton Teas and Infusions, said the monkey’s return was “long overdue”.
Back in March, The Sun revealed that Atack had signed a major deal to become the new face of PG Tips, stepping in for Johnny Vegas.
She reportedly earned a six-figure sum for fronting the campaign.
A source told the outlet at the time: “Emily is a household name and straddles all demographics - plus she genuinely loves a nice cuppa - so they felt she’d be perfect.”
