Emily Andre hopes to work with Azaylia Cain's mum after inspiring Pride of Britain chat

Peter Andre ’s wife Emily has shared her hopes to work with Azaylia Cain ’s mother after the pair struck up a bond at the Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards.

Safiyya Vorajee, along with her partner Ashley, lost their eight-month-old baby girl last April after she tragically passed away following an incredible battle against leukaemia.

Following Azaylia’s passing, her proud parents set up a foundation in their daughter’s name.

The Azaylia Foundation aims to support families that are fundraising for treatments that may not be readily available on the NHS, and provide children with memorable experiences as they fight cancer.

And now, 32-year-old Emily is hoping to work alongside Safiyya to spread awareness.

Emily, who shares two children with Peter Andre, gushed about Safiyya’s incredible strength both during her sick daughter’s journey, and after her heartbreaking passing.

After the pair finally met at the Pride of Britain Awards last month, Emily was able to tell Safiyya how she followed Azaylia’s journey throughout.

“It was also lovely to meet Azaylia Cain’s mum Safiyya Vorajee,” the NHS doctor told OK! Magazine.

“It was so nice to be able to tell her in person how I have followed her journey. I’ve always admired her strength in sharing Azaylia’s story.

“Hopefully we’ll keep in touch as she’s doing some work with her foundation for Azaylia and I’d love to get involved.”

Safiyya, who looked incredible at the annual ceremony, shared a number of snaps from the inspirational night – one including her posing alongside Princess Andre and the rest of the clan.

Alongside the sweet snaps, Safiyya penned: “What an honour to attend The Pride of Britain - the love that was shown for Azaylia by so many really filled me up and touched my heart. She really is an inspiration and will always be my hero.

“I spent a lot of my night in tears from the stories of the unsung heroes - they are so inspirational and was an honour to be in the same room.

“I also met some real inspirational people that supported, donated and really believe in our foundation to fight fearlessly against childhood cancer.”

Azaylia’s brave mum has been praised by mother’s far and wide for her incredible strength through the most heartbreaking year of her life.

Throughout her daughter’s illness, Safiyya continued to stun her social media followers with her optimism and resilience.

Beautiful Azaylia was just two months old when she was first diagnosed with an aggressive and rare form of the blood cancer.

She sadly passed away in April after putting up an incredible fight.
