Emiliano Martinez has heaped praise on Mikel Arteta's work as a coach at Arsenal.
Martinez has experience of Arteta as both a player and a manager, having been at Arsenal for all of Arteta's time as a player.
The goalkeeper has now played a prominent part in the Gunners' resurgence and FA Cup win under Arteta, producing some fine form after stepping into the starting line-up following Bernd Leno's injury.
Speaking to ESPN, Martinez revealed that the amount of work Arteta puts into his plans is staggeringly detailed, revealing that the level of preparation the manager puts players through leaves them calm for matches.
"Mikel Arteta was a great player, always a leader," Martinez said.
"Now as a coach he is an animal, he gives us plans and makes us believe that it will work.
"Everything that happens we practice, when we play we are calm.
"I know that when I receive the ball I will have a centre-half close to pass to.
"Without options for a goalkeeper, even if he plays well, you have to have a choice."
Martinez was in tears after winning the FA Cup and revealed that this was in part down to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang's two goals gave the Gunners victory over Chelsea and, post-match, the striker's words caused tears from Martinez.
He said: "Tearful because the game had just ended, Aubameyang told me that he admired me a lot, he said I was the one.
"He’s a great striker, he’s a crack."
