Emiliano Grillo flips off hole after missing crucial putt

PGA Tour golfer Emiliano Grillo came to the ninth green, his final hole of the day Friday, needing to hole a 13-foot birdie putt to get inside of the cut line at The Northern Trust. Putting has been a serious issue for Grillo this season – he’s 186th on tour in strokes gained putting – but he faced a very makeable putt with a ton of money and playoff points riding on the outcome.

Grillo hit a solid putt with aggressive speed, but the ball caught the right edge of the cup and slid past. Grillo responded by raising his middle finger to the hole.

Grillo carded a score of 69 on the day, but finished his tournament at even-par, one shot from safety.
