Emil Krafth reveals one of the secrets behind Newcastle United's win over Tottenham Hotspur

Emil Krafth shrugged off his tough start to life at Newcastle United by insisting the victory at Tottenham Hotspur was a clearer indication of what the team are capable of.

The Sweden international put in a solid display at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium which United edged 1-0 thanks to Joelinton's first-half goal.

Krafth and has team-mates must now get prepared for the clash with Leicester City in the League Cup on Wednesday night.

Speaking about the aftermath of the 3-1 defeat at Norwich , Krafth has suggested he imposed his own media blackout and said: "Actually I did not read much about the game.

"I don't like to read newspapers after the games.

"But I know people were disappointed in our performance [at Norwich] and I can understand that because we didn't play good.

"But now we showed them how good we can be.

"And I hope we can continue this run."

Krafth opted against discussing his own performance at Spurs and, speaking to BBC Newcastle, he said: "I haven't thought about it too much.

"I have to reflect a little bit and maybe watch the game again.

"But it felt good out there of course, there are situations where you can do better.

"I feel happy for me and all of the lads."
