Emerson sends message to Chelsea fans following mistake against Arsenal

Chelsea full-back Emerson has taken to Twitter to send a message to fans following the Blues' victory over Arsenal.

Late goals from Jorginho and Tammy Abraham saw Frank Lampard's men come from behind to take all three points from the Emirates Stadium and keep them in fourth place going into 2020.

However, it wasn't all plain sailing for Chelsea during the game, with the Gunners striking first when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got in front of Emerson too easily to head the ball past Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Emerson was named in the starting lineup for the match, but lasted just 34 minutes before being replaced by Jorginho as part of a tactical change by Lampard.

Following the match, the Italian international took to social media to give his thoughts.

"Bad and good moments are part of our lives, especially in football," he wrote on his Twitter account.

"The best thing to do is to work harder and always try to improve. Great result for us today. Well done lads. Thank you for all the support."

The tweet prompted replies of support from Chelsea fans.

Emerson has played a total of 49 games for the Blues, scoring one goal and providing one assist, he has made 15 appearances in all competitions under Frank Lampard so far this season.
