Emerson Royal could return to action for Tottenham within two weeks which would put him back in contention for their Premier League match against Crystal Palace.

The timeframe for his recovery was set as four to six weeks and the player is understood to be on track and could be available in time for the home match on May 6 against Palace.

Spurs are understood to have pencilled in either a potential return for Emerson against Palace or failing that the trip to Aston Villa the following Saturday. The player has been working hard at Hotspur Way on his recovery since returning to the UK days after the operation.
