Eden Hazard leaves Chelsea players' WhatsApp group after Real Madrid move

Emerson Palmieri has revealed how Eden Hazard left the Chelsea players' WhatsApp group with a sweet goodbye message following his big-money transfer to Real Madrid.

Hazard ended his seven-year stay at Chelsea earlier this month when he completed a £130m move to Spanish giants Real to link up with his idol Zinedine Zidane and his compatriot Thibaut Courtois.

The deal was finalised while Hazard's former Chelsea teammates were either away on international duty or on holiday, and Emerson has revealed that the Belgian star used messaging service WhatsApp to bid one final farewell to the Blues.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Emerson said: "On the WhatsApp group, the last move there was Hazard's farewell.

"He said goodbye to the boys and such, since then, we don't know anything else. It's weird.

"He sent a 'thank you, I love you guys', and then it showed 'Eden Hazard left the group'.

"I said 'damn, he really left.'"
