Emergency services tackle flat fire in Bulwell

The emergency services dealt with a flat fire in Bulwell this morning (September 19).

Firefighters were called at 9.51am to tackle a blaze on the ground floor of a flat in Cinderhill Walk, Bulwell.

A Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The fire, which was located in the kitchen, was extinguished by one hose reel and a positive pressure fan which was used to clear the smoke.

"One 49-year-old man was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene and treated by firefighters and paramedics.

"The incident had been dealt with by 10.30am."
