Emergency services swoop after body found near Cumbernauld school

Emergency services have swooped on a street near a school in Cumbernauld after the body of a man was discovered.

Police Scotland confirmed they were called to the scene just off Dowanfield Road, near Our Lady's High School, earlier this morning.

The man's death is currently being treated as 'unexplained' as police launch an investigation.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "The body of a man was discovered off Dowanfield Road in Cumbernauld around 7.45 am on Wednesday, November 13.

"His death is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances."
