Emergency services swarm Croxteth Park over concern for woman's safety

Emergency services swarmed a park this afternoon over concerns for the safety of a woman.

Police cars, ambulances and fire engines all flooded Croxteth Park this afternoon after it was reported that there was a concern for the safety of a woman at the park.

Police were quick to block off a section of the park, with queues of emergency vehicles being seen across the popular family spot.

A helicopter was also seen circling as crews dealt with the incident.

Merseyside Police confirmed they were called at around 4.10pm today (Sunday, January 16).

They were called over reports of concerns for the safety of a woman at the busy park.

They have also confirmed that she has been taken to hospital from the scene.
