Two people were hospitalised after a crash near Drogheda, Co Louth on Thursday night.
The two car collision took place on the Drogheda to Termonfeckin road near Beaulieu Cross around 7.40pm on Thursday evening.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and the road was shut for a time.
The drivers of both cars were taken by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with non-life threatening injuries.
Fire and rescue personnel from Drogheda and Dunleer both went to the scene.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision involving two cars that occurred at approximately 7:40pm on Thursday, 10 December, 2020, on the R166 Termonfeckin, County Louth.
"The drivers of both cars, who were the only occupants of their respective vehicles, were both taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, with non-life threatening injuries.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
