Emergency services were scrambled to a warehouse in Bury following a chemical leak.
Fire engines and police cars rushed to the facility in Pilsworth Road at about 12.45pm on Friday after the hazardous material was spilled.
No one was injured in the incident, but the warehouse was evacuated following the spillage.
The chemical, of which no details have been revealed, has since been contained and the firefighters are now working to decontaminate the site.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at about 12.45pm today to reports of a chemical leak in Pilsworth Road, Bury.
"Fire engines and a drone were mobilised.
"Firefighters are dealing with the leak using gas-tight suits, breathing apparatus and an environmental protection unit from Bury.
"The chemical has been contained and we are decontaminating the warehouse.
"No people were involved and the site was evacuated."
