Emergency services rushed to Bristol city centre this afternoon to attend an incident in Caffe Nero.

Two rapid response vehicles from the South West Ambulance Service attended, along with a police van and a critical care vehicle to the corner of the Horsefair and Cabot Circus.

A man had become unwell in Caffe Nero, and was treated at the scene and taken to hospital.

A spokesperson for South West Ambulance Service (SWASFT) said they were called to The Horsefair just after 2pm.

They said: "A male patient had become unwell.

“We’ve sent a number of resources to the scene where emergency teams have treated the patient who has gone on to hospital for further treatment,” she added.
