Emergency services rush to three car crash in Borders as road blocked off

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a three vehicle road crash in the Scottish Borders.

The A68 has been blocked in both directions between Earlston and Lauder.

Police and emergency services were called to the scene around 8.00am this morning.

Information about the incident was released by Traffic Scotland.

Drivers are being urged to find alternative routes and tailbacks are expected.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Daily Record: "Around 7.30am today, Tuesday, February 2, police were called to a three vehicle road crash on the A68 between Earlston and Lauder.

"Emergency services remain at the scene and enquiries are continuing. No details on any injuries at this time.

"Road is closed at A6105 at Earlston northbound and southbound traffic diverted at Lauder towards the A7."
