Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a fire at a derelict building in Stranraer.
Fire crews have been tackling a fire at an old bank on North Strand Street in the town.
Police have blocked off the road with part of the nearby Tesco car park out of use.
Images show the blaze tearing through the building with smoke billowing into the sky.
The roof of the building has been almost completely destroyed.
One eyewitness said: “There’s a lot of smoke going up into the air and then getting caught in the wind.
“It’s a derelict building that’s not been in use for some years.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 12.10pm on Friday, July 23 to reports of a fire affecting a mid-terraced property on North Strand Street, Stranraer.
“Operations Control mobilised four appliances and one aerial vehicle to the scene and crews are currently still in attendance.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a house fire on North Strand Street, Stranraer, around 12.15pm on Friday, 23 July.
"Police and fire service are in attendance. There are no reports of any injuries at this stage."
